The Brosella Guitar show was organized in 1993 for the very first time at the request of Didier Courtmans, one of the Brosella board members, and a couple of his friends, Jules ‘Bof’ Molet en Patrick Schotte. There were a lot of local skilful instrument builders at the time, but they had no opportunity to show their talents. Only a few connoisseurs knew about it and ordered their instruments over here. Johnny Cash, amongst others, was one of them. But after some time the Show stopped.

On the demand of a lot of interested people, the fair for string instruments was organized again a couple of years later. They claimed that the Brussels event was one of the best in the country, because it treated instruments, builders and interested visitors with the highest respect…

A lot of Belgian guitar players meet each other every year at the Brosella Guitar Fair and sometimes Brosella can offer them the opportunity to start dreaming about new projects…
